چکیده
Aim: To evaluate the safety and outcomes of trans corneal three port vitrectomy without conjunctival incision. Methods: A total of 27 patients were included in the study. out of which 13 patients were with posteriorly dislocated PCIOL (posterior chamber intra ocular lens), 9 patients with dropped cortical lens matter and 5 patients with vitreous hemorrhage. In all these patients, we made three limbal incisions and performed 23 G Trans Corneal Vitrectomy. All the patients were followed for six months. Results: In 13 patients posteriorly dislocated posterior chamber intra ocular lens was removed (among them in 8 patients same IOL was replaced), in 9 patients dropped cortical lens matter was removed and in 5 patients vitrectomy for vitreous hemorrhage was done by trans corneal three port vitrectomy without conjunctival incision without any significant complication. Striate keratopathy of different grades was present in first week post operatively only. No other complications were observed in follow up. Conclusion: Trans corneal three port vitrectomy without conjunctival incision is a safe technique for removal and replacement of dropped IOL, removal of cortical lens matter and vitrectomy for vitreous hemorrhage.

Conjunctival displacement to the corneal side for oblique-parallel insertion in 25-gauge vitrectomy.
PURPOSE To assess the usefulness of the method of oblique-parallel trocar insertion with conjunctival displacement to the corneal side in 25-gauge (G) transconjunctival vitrectomy. METHODS 25-G vitrectomy was performed in 77 consecutive eyes. Before making obliqueparallel trocar insertions, the conjunctiva was conventionally displaced superiorly in 35 eyes, but was displaced toward the cornea...

The occurrence of acquired conjunctival inclusion cysts following various ophthalmic surgeries such as strabismus surgery, scleral buckling, pars plana vitrectomy, ptosis surgery and phacoemulsification has been reported. We report two cases of conjunctival inclusion cysts following manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) in two male patients aged 65 and 67 years. The cysts originated fro...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the visual outcomes of 27-gauge transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy surgery and its complications in patients with diabetic vitreous hemorrhage. METHODS A quasi-experimental study was conducted where eighty seven eyes of 87 uncontrolled type II diabetes mellitus patients presenting with diabetic vitreous hemorrhage were selected to undergo 27-gauge transconjunctival ...
متن کاملTreatment of a dislocated lens by transcorneal vitrectomy and bimanual phacoemulsification
BACKGROUND As a method of treatment for a dropped lens nucleus, which occurred during cataract surgery, the dropped lens nucleus was removed through the corneal wound without using pars plana vitrectomy (PPV). After vitrectomy, the dropped lens nucleus was floated on the perfluorocarbon liquid (PFCL). The floating lens nucleus was then phacoemulsified and aspirated. During surgery, irrigation f...

Purpose. To investigate the in vivo incision architecture using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) in 23-gauge and 25-gauge transconjunctival sutureless pars plana vitrectomy (TSPPV). Methods. A prospective observational study of 22 eyes of 22 patients that underwent three-port 25-gauge (10 eyes) or 23-gauge (12 eyes) TSPPV was performed. The three sclerotomies sites in each ...
